Hi, I’m Amanda.

I started Ember & Lens in Belton because I wanted portrait work that feels like your favorite magazine spread — honest, warm, and unhurried.

Before photography paid the bills, I was the friend with a camera at every bonfire and graduation party. Friends said my photos made them feel seen — not posed. That comment stuck.

After years of shooting on the side while teaching art at a Belton middle school, I opened Ember & Lens full-time. The name comes from two things I chase in every session: the ember glow of golden hour, and the lens as a quiet witness to ordinary magic.

Most of my clients find me on Instagram. I built this site so booking doesn’t live in scattered DMs — you deserve a clear path from inspiration to confirmed date.

How a session unfolds

  1. Inquiry & consult. You share date, location, and session type. We confirm fit and send a contract with retainer details.
  2. Style questionnaire. Seniors get a wardrobe consult; families share inspiration via a private mood board link.
  3. Session day. Relaxed pacing — no rush through outfits. I guide without stiff posing.
  4. Gallery delivery. Curated online gallery within three weeks, with print ordering built in.
